Things that have made this week better

1. The fact that this week's wednesday, thursday and friday was Chuseok holiday so I had 5 days off in total this week.
2. Monday, I played guitar at a radio for the first time. It was aired.
3. Tuesday, I watched one of the greatest Indonesian film, 5CM.
4. Wednesday, I painted again.
5. Thursday, I was a fairy at another photoshoot.
6. Friday, I had indian for dinner.
7. Saturday, definitely the Mods' Honey Pie.
8. Sunday, stayed all day in my room and finished a book, "Who moved my cheese?".

Honey Pie

We finally had another "Outfit of the Day" shoot. We kept it simple with a "Street Style" theme. At first  we wanted to eat brunch at Cafe de Mods, but they said they're not going to have the brunch menu until next month so we ended up getting some burritos at Dos Mas. The bright side is I spent less penny for today's lunch than I would have. Seriously, I'm broke. Yet, I still had a Chocolate cafe at the Mods which tasted so much like milo. Oh and we had Honey Pie! I've never tasted anything like it before. The cream and the honey is just oh my God words can't come out. The way it crumbles in your mouth is just heavenly. I definitely recommend Mods' Honey Pie.

Finally, my tribal-ish necklace that made my neck itchy all day making its debut today!

the Honey Pie!

And voila, the outfits!

Due to the weather that is getting chillier, I ended up in bed with a headache. Although, I take it as a good thing since I'm so more than ready for fall.

5cm

If you haven't watched this movie yet, then what are you waiting for?

5cm is an indonesian movie which is adapted from a National best seller novel written by Dhonny Dirgantoro and directed by Rizal Mantovani.

This movie focuses on friendship, love and dream. It was about a friendship between 5 different persons. One day, they decided to not meet for 3 months and to not communicate with each other. After 3 months, they started their adventure to Bromo and climbed the highest mountain in Java, Mahameru Mountain.

The visualization of this movie was phenomenal. So is the cinematography. It definitely shows how beautiful Indonesia is. Thumbs up for the director! The view of Ranu Pane, Ranu Kumbolo, Arcopodo and of course Mahameru were amazing. Another bunch of places I should definitely add to my travel list.

The story is pretty light, not too deep. Yet, powerful. Especially the nationalism messages. I daresay, this is how Indonesian movies are supposed to be. More movies like this should be made. Not those Indonesian not-so-scary-malah-ngelawak scary movies. Seriously, whoever made those movies are definitely not in their right mind. One thing I really like about this movie is its power of dialogue. Inspiring. I like the fact that the love conflict doesn't appear that much like any other movies. Sufficient, but well interpreted.

Watching this movie made me want to read the book. Typical me. I tend to watch the movie first, then read the book. The quotes are very inspiring. One quote I really like,

"Taruh puncak itu di depan kita, dan jangan lepaskan!

Yang kita perlukan adalah kaki yang berjalan lebih jauh, dan tangan yang berbuat lebih banyak
Leher yang akan lebih sering melihat ke atas
Mata yang akan menatap lebih lama dari biasanya
Lapisan tekad yang seribu kali lebih keras dari baja
Hati yang akan bekerja lebih keras
Serta mulut yang akan selalu berdoa."

had me.

Hot Pepper

A black t-shirt is definitely not a good choice to wear for today. It was surprisingly burning hot considering how chilly it was in the past few days. Although, I would much prefer the black t-shirt than the fitted black cropped top that I was going to wear. Also, the 3cm pointy heels worn me down today. I couldn't feel my feet by the end of the day. It's been pretty a while since I last wore heels. But hey, a little sacrifice to look nice is needed sometimes.

Good friends and good food is always the best combination. Instead of brunches, we usually have late lunches. Caffee at G never fail to satisfy our hungry bellies. For today's late lunch, I had Hot Pepper Chicken Panini and Oreo Crunch for dessert (the usual). I was really craving for Eggs Benedict though.

In the afternoon, we went to the 2013 University Fashion Festival which was held in Shinsege Department Store. This was actually my first time attending the University Fashion Festival since I didn't attend it in my first and second year which I regret now. There was so many amazing collections. The hall was packed with people. Thanks to my friend who came earlier, we got few seats.

And lastly, we ended the day at Starbucks with a Dolce!

When 24 hours is nowhere near satisfying enough.

Today, I felt like I just ended my day when I haven't even started it yet. I had a jam-packed schedule for today, though. I had classes for 9 hours straight non-stop from 9AM to 6PM. Well, that's how I decided how my tuesdays are going to be for the rest of the year. I'm not going to complain because it was my choice.

Thank God, today's breakfast in the canteen was satisfying enough that I went through the day without lunch. The bread I bought yesterday actually accompanied me in between classes throughout the day, though. Dinner wasn't so bad either. So, I went straight to bed with a full belly as soon as I hit my bed. After class sleeps are the best. The dreamless kind of sleep. The sleep I love the best.

8PM was the alarm I set up. But, I overslept till 10. Another failure to 'fixing my bed time' plan. 2 hours is all I got until I start the next day. There are actually a lot of things one can do in 2 hours. Well, that depends on what kind of things one does. I ended up drawing and eating what is left in my refrigerator thinking eating late at night would make me sleepy. Actually, eating at any time of the day gives me the 'sleepy' after effect. Well, I would say I was quite productive tonight. I did 3 sketches and here I am with another post. Still, I feel like I need more than 24 hours. Not just on tuesdays, but daily.

I would rather say I enjoy a busy day, just like today. Apart from the fact that I had to carry all the heavy books everywhere, I have nothing to say. I just hate it when I have so much to carry in my hands. Having a busy day keeps me from over thinking. Preventing me from thinking all the craps I'm currently going through. But again, they just keep coming back to me. Keeping me awake. Still haunting me. I don't know when can I ever get over them, but I'm counting on my tuesdays.

Milky Sweater

Sweaters are probably my current obsession. Now that I think of it, I bought 6 new sweaters in the past 2 months. Yes, 6. They were on sale, so I couldn't help it. I can't wait to wear them.

This milk patterned sweater is one of the many sweaters I purchased during this summer break. It's from Argyl and Oxford! It's an Indonesian brand by Anabela Velda and Rebecca Billina. A friend of mine, Vania who is actually Velda's little sister kindly picked this up for me while she was in Indonesia last month. It's actually thicker than I thought it would be. It's because they had to knit all the milk patterns on the sweater so they had to make it thick. I guess it's perfect for winter as well! The bold patterns for this season can totally make my day.

The Sixth

'Back to reality' is probably the 3 words that appears in my mind at this very moment. It's probably the first of september, but it's the last day of the summer break. This summer vacation felt super fast. You could say I was somehow productive this time. But at the same time, there were days when I could stay all day in bed without actually sleeping or eating.

Anyway, let's start a new semester with a big smile! If you can't smile, then fake it.
